Demand is High for Corvettes

One of the really great things about a Corvette is it's ability to hold it's value. Looking at the prices of the used corvettes for sale, I'm immediately struck by both how well they've held value and because these Corvettes have been so well maintained (who wouldn't take great care of 'America's Sports Car'?) how very economical a used Vette is.

But with the price of gas and the resulting rise in prices of everything else, its interesting to note the demand for Corvettes is still strong. Bowling Green reports production of new Corvettes is still high and as enthusiasts go for new Vettes used ones come on the market.

A Sad Fairwell . . .

Well the time has come to say goodbye to the truly fine corvette pictured in our header. 'Precious' as she's called around here has found a new home. She'll be moving from Missouri to Florida, sometime this next week. And though I know she'll be going to a great home there with Tony, she'll be sorely missed here.

Gone but not forgotten . . .

Oh the Diversity . . .

You know, there are those who swear the C1 Corvette was the only generation Corvette worth owning - while others are in love with their C3. Me, I'm fond of our C5 - but the diversity of the Corvette is one of the things most striking at a Corvette Rally.

The style, the color, the wheels, the mods - if you've never been you've missed out. I like that they're not all just alike. Thank goodness, 1953 was the only year they were all produced just the same. Though I like Polo White with Red Interiors - I much prefer the pageantry of all the different mods and colors.
